we pretty much had the most awesome seats ever. 2o yard line. 3rd row. panthers side. ummheckyess.
the seats were so great that it's really a shame that the panthers forgot how to play football. with the way they've played so far in the preseason, i really wouldn't be surprised if they don't manage to win a single game this season. sad, really~~because i love them so freaking much.
nevertheless, it was a good time. daddy and i got bojangle's before the game and tailgated. i broke out the john kasay jersey, and i even made a sign for him. [but only because i love him.] he's the only original panther...and he's the kicker...and he's definitely my favorite panther of all time [and i've been loving this team for a long time].
i got some pretty good "creeper" photos. i may have even been on tv, i'm not sure...the camera guy--towards the end--came right in front of my section when i had my sign up. also, john kasay practiced his kicking literally 20 feet in front of me.
this is what i learned about the 2010 panthers. quarterback: holy crap we need one who knows what to do. [don't get me wrong, i'm a huge matt moore fan...and i think he has a lot of potentional. but OMYGOSH he played terribly last night.] offensive line: LEARN HOW TO CATCH A FREAKING BALL. less than half of our passes last night were completed. that's terrible!! most of them were fumbles. special teams: directed mainly towards the punt return unit--pay attention! several times, the guy was just standing there and let the ball fall right next to him. seriously, you're in the nfl. who does that?!?!?!?!
on the positive side, john kasay continues to be consistent...he made his only field goal attempt of the night. and our defense is actually pretty good. we managed to hold them back to only field goal scores, the final score being 9-3...with as bad as we played, it easily could've been a much bigger loss.
regardless, it was a good time. i'm really glad that i got to go to one game this season, even if it was a preseason game! i really missed watching live football last season. [because football is life, basically.] and i had a really good time spending time with my dad ^___^
me and daddy in our panthers get up...with the sign i made!!
john kasay. i love him.
